Armament Adventure at Tax Payers‘ Costs
500 million euro of tax money was payed by the federal government for the development of a drone that actually will never take off. To this, party secretary of DIE LINKE, Matthias Höhn, declares:
The great drone „Euro Hawk“ will probably not leave the ground. This is good. DIE LINKE rejects the deployment of combat drones. That the federal government just like that makes a mess of half a billion euro is scandalous.
It is furthermore an affront to all those, that on a daily basis are confronted with cuts in social or cultural areas because of alleged needs to economise. It would have been right to renounce of this armament adventure from the beginning. With this grandiose misinvestment the next minister change in the Merkel cabinet is due. Mr. de Maizière, ministers have resigned for lesser reasons!
