At Easter: German Armed Forces out of all Foreign Assignments
"At the Easter marches we will oppose the worldwide involvement of the Bundeswehr in wars and military missions. All who take part in the diverse demonstrations at Easter carry the thought of a peaceful and globally just world into society," declares Wolfgang Gehrcke, member of the party executive board of DIE LINKE:
At Easter DIE LINKE demands: retrieve the Bundeswehr from all foreign assignments. The Armed Forces have to be pulled out of Afghanistan immediately. There's no place for Patriot missiles at the Syrian-Turkish border. Those, who train soldiers in Mali are part of a war. Currently 6000 German soldiers are involved in foreign assignments - these are 6000 too many. Arms delivery has to be strictly forbidden. By now means may Germany and Europe deliver arms to the Middle East. The arms embargo for Syria has to be maintained.
