Immediately Withdraw Bundeswehr and Patriot Missiles from Turkey

„A bomb attack from outside will only further aggravate the bloody civil war in Syria. The war could spread uncontrollably to the whole region. Germany must not participate in this conflict, that’s why the Federal Army has to be withdrawn from Turkey instantly. Otherwise, there is imminent danger to be pulled into a wildfire in Middle East“ comments the spokesperson for foreign affairs of the parliamentary faction of DIE LINKE, Jan van Aken, on the situation in Syria. Van Aken further:

„The alleged use of chemical weapons in Syria has to be clarified and prosecuted – not by throwing bombs but rather by deploying independent inspectors of the UN and before general courts. Military assaults as retaliation are absolutely the wrong means. They will inevitably hit many innocents and lead to even more death, suffering, and destruction in Syria. Who now joins a coalition of the willing and directly or indirectly supports a military assault against Syria out-manoeuvres the United Nations whose task it is to elucidate the alleged use of chemical weapons.“
