No to sanctions against Venezuela
April 19th is the worldwide Day of Action for solidarity with Venezuela. In this respect Heinz Bierbaum, chairman of the International committee of the party DIE LINKE, explains:
We condemn the US-sanctions and the decree against Venezuela and call for their abolition. Venezuela is no threat, not for the USA and not for anyone else. Economic and political attacks on the country are not only unjustified, but also endanger the country's democracy and social peace. DIE LINKE expresses solidarity with the Venezuelan population who was sanctioned and declared an "extraordinary danger to the national security and the foreign policy of the United States" by the US-Administration. We support the Venezuelan government in pursuing an independent non-neoliberal policy in the interest of social progress.
