Outvote Cutback Policies

"In Greece, the imposed cost-cutting dictate has failed, in France unsocial cutback policies were outvoted as well. The people do not let themselves be squeezed any further only to save the profits of banks. The left in Europe has to stand together now, to put an end to the social clear cutting and to allow a new start for Europe," comments Sahra Wagenknecht the claim of the Greek left coalition to annul the loan and cost-cutting programme dictated by EU and ECB. The deputy Party Chair goes on:

Cost-cutting dictates as well as the undemocratic fiscal contract and the permanent banking bailout fund ESM have to be cancelled. It cannot be, that multi-billion euro sums are blown on saving banks while the people have to bleed for the costs afterwards. Who wants to fight debts, has to ask the rich to pay up and to socialise and strictly regulate the banks. For these claims the DIE LINKE fights with all its power: wether in the election campaign in Northrhine-Westphalia or during the protests against the crisis in Frankfurt, planned for May 16 to 19.
