Protection and Admission Instead of Exclusion
Regarding today's statements by Federal Interior Minister Friedrich in the meeting of EU interior ministers Katina Schubert, member of the party executive committee of DIE LINKE, declares:
Friedrich can‘t help constantly stirring up hatred against migrants from Eastern European countries. He currently wants the deportation of so-called poverty refugees. Those assuming that people from Eastern Europe come to Germany with the intent to defraud want to exclude and seal themselves off. This is notorious cracker-barrel talk and plain racist. We demand the EU interior ministers to eventually enforce EU minimum standards for asylum seekers on a high level of human rights. This also includes the abolition of Frontex, a highly professional instrument for seclusion.
