Tea Party Extremists Act Irresponsibly
„The embargo of the Republicans to prevent the health insurance system enforced by US President Obama seems partly extortive“, comments Stefan Liebich, member of the external committee of the faction DIE LINKE and vice chair of the US parliamentary group, on the attempt of rightwing-conservative Tea Party extremists to paralyse the federal administration. Liebich further:
„Not only the statue of liberty and national parks of the country will then remain closed; in Washington D.C., the federally administered capital, the public sector right up to the garbage collection are shut down. Such politics are irresponsible and anti-social. Acting like this means splitting society.“
