"The-Boat-Is-Full" Rhethoric is Disgusting

To the unspeakable remarks of CDU-faction spokesperson for internal affairs, Uhl (CSU), Matthias Höhn, Party Secretary of DIE LINKE, declares:

The spokesperson for internal affairs of the faction of the CDU, Uhl (CSU), dismisses claims by coalition partner FDP to eliminate the principle of benefits in kinds for asylum seekers. Instead of the verdict by the Federal Constitutional Court of May 18 the CSU position does not surprise – still it has to be rejected and harshly criticised.

Yet, dismay was caused by choice of words and tone of voice: Cash instead of in-kind benefits encourage abuse of asylum, money would only enhance the incentive to seek asylum in Germany. Asylum seekers are thus put under a general suspicion. Fraud of the German state instead of fear for life is labelled as driving force for asylum seeking. This rethoric is disgusting.

I gladly remind mister Uhl of the fact that article 1 of the Grundgesetz not only applies to  Germans. People who, for whatever reason, come to our country deserve support, a human treatment, and solidarity. DIE LINKE demands the abolition of discriminating laws and open borders for all.
